Need to Remove Heavy Oxidation from Boats, RVs, Motorcycles, and More? Reach For Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner

Flitz is your go-to resource for cleaning, polishing, and protecting surfaces, including fiberglass. But if your fiberglass has heavy oxidation, stains, and buildup, it’s time to reach for the ultimate solution.

Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner for Heavy Oxidation works to polish the toughest issues. Our premium formula is a fiberglass polish, metal polish, and tarnish remover. If you need to get rid of dullness, chalky residue, and discoloration, Flitz makes it effortless.

If you’ve ever run your hand along your boat’s hull and come away with a chalky white film on your palm, you know what heavy oxidation looks like. Gelcoat, fiberglass, and painted surfaces all break down in a similar pattern.

The sun beats down, and the weather attacks the surface of your boat, RV, and motorcycle. Before you know it, the once-glossy finish becomes flat, faded, and powdery.

So, what do you do? Reach for wax? Wax doesn’t fix the problem, but just sits on top of dead, oxidized material. If you want to truly bring back the shine, that damaged layer needs to go. That’s exactly what Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner for Heavy Oxidation is made to do.

The Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner is perfect for boats, RVs, motorcycles, and outdoor equipment. It revives faded fiberglass, aluminum, brass, and more. Damage disappears, and the smooth, polished finish has long-lasting protection.

Whether you’re restoring a classic car, polishing marine surfaces, or reviving weathered gelcoat, Flitz gives you professional results.

Why Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner Works

If you’ve tried to polish your boat, you know that most products make you choose. You might need a dedicated fiberglass cleaner for the hull, a separate metal polish for the rails and cleats, and a tarnish remover to clean the brass.

Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner tackles all three jobs with one jar. For boats (and RVs) where fiberglass, painted surface, stainless steel hardware, and aluminum trim can all be featured, you can clean the whole vessel at once (without switching through a laundry list of products).

Despite the heavy-duty cleaning power of Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner, the formula carries a 1000-grit classification. In other words, it’s fine enough to cut through oxidation without damaging and scratching the surface underneath. You’re only removing the damaged layer, not grinding away good material below it.

Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner Safely Removes:

  • Tarnish
  • Rust
  • Water Stains
  • Chalking
  • Lime Deposits
  • Heat Discoloration
  • Lead and Powder Residue
  • Oxidation
  • Fingerprints
  • Bugs
  • Tar
  • Bird Droppings
  • Graffiti
  • Dyes

Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner covers just about everything outdoor life can throw at your boat or RV. Remove hard-water spotting at the waterline, bug and tar buildup on the front cap, bird droppings that etch in over a season, and even heat discoloration on exhaust-adjacent metal.

Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner comes in a generous 1 lb jar, which goes a very long way. Restore the hull sides and keep on going. Use the polish to shine up stainless rails, brighten the aluminum trim, and clean up Eisenglass. Hit your brass fittings and take water spots off the gel coat with one amazing product.

Note: FLITZ Fiberglass Cleaner should not be used on electroplated finishes! If a surface is plated rather than solid metal, the plating layer is often very thin. Polishing can cut through and damage it. When in doubt, test in a hidden spot first or skip it.

How to Use Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner

Using Flitz on your boat, RV, or motorcycle is easy! In just four simple steps, you can restore your prize to its glory days.

  1. Start with a clean, dry surface. Wash off dirt and grit so you’re polishing the finish (not grinding in debris).
  2. Apply Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner to a small working section with a clean microfiber cloth or applicator.
  3. Work on the product until the chalky oxidation lifts and the original color and gloss shine through.
  4. Wipe and buff off the product with a clean microfiber towel to a smooth, glossy finish. Rotate to a fresh section of your towel, as it will load up with the removed oxidation.

Heavy oxidation doesn’t happen overnight. Badly weathered surfaces may need a second pass. You’ll see a noticeable improvement in the first few wipes.

Pro-Tip: This is a cleaner and polish, not a protectant. Once cleaned, lock in your results with Flitz Ceramic Sealant or another protective product. It will keep your boat looking beautiful for months and protect against UV damage.

Bring back the shine to fiberglass surfaces with this hardworking fiberglass cleaner. It’s tough on oxidation, but gentle on surfaces. At Flitz, we make restoration simple!
