How to Remove Oxidation from a Fiberglass Boat
Removing oxidation from a fiberglass boat is easier when you work in small sections. In four simple steps, you can clean and polish weathered fiberglass and gelcoat to help restore its color and shine.
- Start with a clean, dry surface. Wash off dirt and grit so you’re polishing the finish (not grinding in debris).
- Apply Flitz Fiberglass Cleaner to a small working section with a clean microfiber cloth or applicator.
- Work on the product until the chalky oxidation lifts and the original color and gloss shine through.
- Wipe and buff off the product with a clean microfiber towel to a smooth, glossy finish. Rotate to a fresh section of your towel, as it will load up with the removed oxidation.
