Every now and then, we encounter unique stories and experiences from our customers. Some of which allow our staff of industry experts to play the role of “detective” in order to fully isolate the root of the issue.
Not too long ago, we received a surprising inquiry from one of our first-time buyers, Mr. William Bartlett:
“I used a product and ended up with 200 rounds of brass covered with hard, black globs. The stuff is so hard, I can barely scrape it off with my fingernail. I would like to know how I can clean up and save my brass. It's a mess!”
After Bartlett used a faulty mixture of the Flitz Tumbler Media Additive and Corn Cob Media, he found that 200 of his 22-250 brass casings were covered in thick, black grime. To any hunter, this would be a nightmare. But the Flitz Team saw this as an opportunity to put the #PowerOfThePolish to the test!
With a little investigating and the perfect combination of Flitz Polishing Products, we were able to provide Mr. Bartlett with a quick, easy resolution to his detailing disaster:
“Hey Bill, just wanted to let you know I got the two shells in the mail today. Thanks so much for sending them my way. I have to say, I have never seen anything like this – even if you use too much of our liquid tumbler media additive. With that said, I think there must have been something else in the mix prior that caused this to happen. I tested a product we produce called the Flitz Instant Brass and Copper Tarnish Remover on them and as you will see, it took care of everything with no scrubbing needed. I will be sending you a bottle of this!”
One plastic bucket, the Flitz Instant Brass and Copper Tarnish Remover, the effected brass casings and in three hours’ time – Bartlett’s brass was looking good as new!
“The reason I purchased the Flitz Tumbler Media Additive is because it is made in the USA. I think the only reason I had a problem with the media was my fault – I put the additive in after my brass. Also, the media was dirty and should have been changed. The product I received from Flitz worked great! I soaked my brass as suggested, then tumbled it in new media with the additive from Flitz. My brass is like new and ready to reload for the next prairie dog hunt!
What I was so impressed with was their attention to my problem. I was taken care of like I was a large client. All in all, I am a happy customer!”
