Here's how we did it:
As you'll see in the video below, we sprayed Flitz Brass & Copper Tarnish Remover liberally all over the piece. In most cases the tarnish ran right off. The more stubborn tarnish we agitated with a kitchen scrub pad. Once the tarnish remover did it's magic, we simply rinsed the piece with water to neutralize the product's organic salts. (No acids here!)
We then dried the piece and applied Flitz Paste Polish. We used a Flitz Buff Ball to eliminate a lot of elbow grease. Due to the condition of the piece (over 100 years old), some areas required several applications. A final hand buff with our ultra thick & thirsty microfibers delivered that amazing mirror-like shine.
