Flitz Applications in the Marine Industry

Posted by Flitz International on 6th Jul 2018

Flitz International is based out of Waterford, WI, and has grown into a variety of different distribution channels all over the world. We want to share with you some of the products that we offer for the Marine industry.

The Flitz Polish Paste is the core of the line. It comes in a cream product, and what makes it unique is the government standards classify the paste as non-abrasive and is authorized by the USDA, and what that means is that you can actually eat our product. Trust us, it doesn’t taste that good, but it’s non-toxic. The paste polish can be used on fiberglass, paint, plastics, and all of your metal finishes. We also have a military spec. number on our products and that would be for aircraft.

Watch Ulrich as he demonstrates how to bring back the polish to aluminum diamond plate, which is commonly seen on pontoon boats. You’ll be able to see the oxidation being removed from the diamond plate!

Flitz Polish Paste provides a protective coating and is guaranteed to last in a saltwater environment for 2-3 months and in freshwater environment for 4-5 months. This allows for great protection through the boating months and can also be used on plexiglass and fiberglass.

The Flitz Paste Polish can be used on many different surfaces, including:

  • Plastics
  • Paint
  • All metals
  • Fiberglass
  • Plexiglass - helps to remove oxidation, cloudiness, and yellowing.
  • Stainless steel
  • Paint

The Flitz Buff Balls help to get into nooks and crannies around your boat. They are helpful to polish wheels, rod holders, stainless steel hardware while applying Flitz Paste Polish to these surfaces. In the video, Ulrich, Flitz’s President, gives you some tips on how best to utilize the Buff Ball to get the best results.

Flitz also offers a Calcium, Rust, & Lime Cleaner which is similar to acid, but is safe for use on your gel-coats, fiberglass, and decals that may be present on your boat. Although it is not acid, it is a very aggressive chemical. This product is made of salt, but as soon as it comes in contact with a calcified surface, it begins to remove the calcium, rust, and lime immediately. Water is required to stop the reaction, otherwise the chemical will continue to eat through your surface. If your boat is experiencing heavy areas of oxidation, the Calcium, Rust, and & Lime Cleaner is a great first step before going ahead with the Flitz Paste Polish to bring out that shine on your boat. In the video, Ulrich describes and shows exactly why this could be the best move for you as you’re polishing up your boat this summer.

Our Speed Waxx is also intended for use on your boat, which is a mixture of carnauba and water. The product will protect surfaces for 2 to 3 months, but a little product goes a long way so a 16 oz bottle can be used on a 16-18 foot boat twice and you’d be covered for the season.

Flitz’s newest product is the Sealant. This product protects your car for about 10,000 miles or 1 year. This product provides a sheeting protection in motion and creates a ceramic shell to provide beading protection. One bottle of Sealant can be used on an 18 to 20 foot boat about 2 times. Our Flitz Sealant comes with a thick Microfiber cloth and is one of the few in the industry with two sides to it. One side is thicker for buffing and waxing and the other side is more flat to help with absorbancy.

The Flitz Sealant can be used on:

  • Glass
  • Gel-coat
  • Fiberglass
  • Paint
  • And more!
